If you’ve ever dreamed of standing by the water’s edge, pint in hand, while voices rise in unison singing tales of the sea, then let me introduce you to your next adventure: The Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival 2025.
Set against the charming coastal backdrop of Falmouth, Cornwall, this year's festival promises to be bigger and bolder than ever — and I’ll be there soaking in every note from 13th to 15th June.
🎤 What to Expect
The town of Falmouth comes alive during the festival, with over 80 shanty groups from across the world performing at more than 20 venues. Imagine live music pouring from harbour side pubs, bustling squares, and historic quays. It’s not just a festival — it’s a full town takeover.
⛵ Not Just Music
What makes the weekend even more magical is its timing alongside the Falmouth Classics Regatta — where stunning classic boats race across the harbour. Picture this: soulful shanties on land, vintage sails on the sea. It’s pure Cornish charm.
🍻 Food, Pubs & Local Favorites
The Working Boat – For sea views and strong cider.
Harbour House in Flushing – A ferry ride away and worth it for the grilled seafood.
INDIDOG Eatery – Where you can brunch with a sea view.
✨ See You There?
Whether you’re a local or travelling in, the Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival is the kind of event that brings people together in the best way: through music, history, and shared joy.
If you’re thinking of going — do it. If you’re already planning to be there — I’ll be the one swaying on Custom House Quay, singing with strangers and loving every second.
See you in Falmouth, shipmates! ⚓🎵
