THE SPACE

The open plan living space is designed for proper downtime, cook something simple in the well equipped kitchen, linger over dinner at the table, then sink into the sofa with a film on the Smart TV and Netflix. Whether you’ve been out exploring the creeks and coast or you’ve spent the day doing very little at all, it’s a lovely space to come home to.

 

The bedroom is peaceful and inviting, with countryside views to wake up to, and there’s an adjoining dressing room that gives you extra space to unpack and settle in, open it up for a light, studio style feel or close it off for a more cosy, tucked away night in. The bathroom is spacious and modern, with a large walk in shower, heated towel rail and a washing machine, ideal for longer stays.

 

Step outside to your private patio and you’ll see why guests fall in love with this spot, sunrise coffees, sunset drinks, birdsong, and nothing but open skies and fields around you. You’ve also got parking on site, so day trips are easy, but you may find you’re very happy staying put.

 

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Porth Kea sits within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, wrapped in quiet countryside and the peaceful backwaters of the Fal. It’s a place for slower mornings and salty air, where you can wander down to Coombe and Cowlands Creek, watch the tide roll in and out, and take in that classic Cornwall mix of woodland, water and wide open skies.

Close by, Roundwood Quay is a real little gem, picturesque, calm and perfect for a gentle stroll, a flask of tea on the wall, or simply soaking up the view. You’re also only a short drive from Truro when you want great food, shops and a bit of city energy, then it’s back to the stillness of the creeks and countryside.

 

GETTING AROUND

A car is recommended so you can explore the creeks, quays and coastlines at your own pace, and you’ll have parking at Chapel House to make coming and going easy. Truro is a quick drive for supermarkets, restaurants and train links, and from here you’re well placed for exploring both the north and south coasts depending on the day’s weather and mood.
